Template notice. This is a starting-point template, not legal advice. Have a licensed attorney review and adapt these terms before public launch, especially regarding payments, personal data, and any insurance/financing referrals.

1. What KeyTransfer is

KeyTransfer is an online marketplace that helps private buyers and sellers of used vehicles in Pennsylvania list cars, communicate, and coordinate the legally-required in-person notarized title transfer. KeyTransfer is not a law firm, insurance agency, lender, dealer, escrow agent, or PennDOT-authorized agent, and does not provide legal, tax, or insurance advice.

2. No custody of vehicle funds

KeyTransfer does not hold, transmit, or escrow the purchase price of any vehicle. Payment between buyer and seller is arranged directly by the parties. KeyTransfer charges only its own service fees (e.g., featured listings).

3. User responsibilities

Users are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and messages, for verifying vehicles and titles, for complying with Pennsylvania law, and for completing the title transfer in person before a notary or authorized agent. Tax and fee figures shown are estimates; final amounts are set by the authorized agent at closing.

4. Insurance & financing referrals

Any insurance or financing options are provided by independent, licensed third parties. KeyTransfer does not sell insurance, originate loans, or give policy or lending advice.

5. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, KeyTransfer is not liable for disputes between users, the condition or legal status of any vehicle, or losses arising from transactions arranged through the platform.
